Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride

Cheesy "We Can Do It" team picture-- always a must.
(On Amanda: Custom dress. On Kelly: dress by Black Halo, shoes by Zigi SoHo)

This past Saturday was the wedding of Amanda's cousin, Danielle. For those who have not have not had the absolute fortune of attending a traditional Assyrian wedding, we say only this: get yourself invited to one. As Amanda played her bridesmaid role brilliantly (looking like a certain Disney princess...), I enjoyed the evening as one of the 500+ wedding guests (yes, 500+ guests). It was an amazing and beautiful reception-- so much fun-- and it was awesome to show off my latest tattoo in my conveniently cut-out dress. I'm such a nerd...

From the Vault: "Hot Child In The City"

(Blazer: Topshop, Vest & Tank: H&M, Shorts: Calvin Klein, Flip Flops: Havianas, Bag: Forever 21, Jewelry: The People's Favor)

Chicago winter- Boo! Chicago summer- Yay! With my nephew visiting from Phoenix, my brother & I decided to take him on a little "staycation". First, we went to Millennium Park to stroll through the Lurie Garden and check out the "giant bean" (aka "Cloud Gate"). We also took him to the Sears Tower (Willis Tower) where I nearly had a heart attack. Someone who is deathly afraid of heights should not stand in a glass box hovering 1,353 feet above ground. But everyone insisted-- strangers included-- that if I didn't do it, I'd regret it. So, after 15 minutes of coaxing, I finally let go of the beam I was holding onto for dear life and stepped into the box. So there- I did it. But I'll never do it again.

Invisible Airplane Not Included. (Shucks!)

Confession: We're kinda makeup whores. Especially when a brand comes out with a limited edition line. So when we heard that M.A.C. is releasing a Wonder Woman themed collection, it was like Christmas came for Round 2. Each piece is packaged in the heroine's red, yellow, & blue trademark colors and prices range from $14-$50. The collection will be released February 10th which seems like "forever-away". In the meantime, we can just daydream about a life where bulletproof cuffs, a golden lasso, and an invisible airplane actually exist.

We're Gonna Score Tonight...

Our friend, Zac, who totally looks like Silas Botwin from Weeds.

(On Kelly: BDG tank top, Trunk LTD. jacket, Topshop jeans. On Amanda: Forever 21 top, Rock & Republic jeans.)

Yeah, the title of the post is definitely a song in Grease 2 (such a classic). It was just a lazy Monday night and, with nothing else to do, we decided to go bowling. We love this bowling alley because it oozes "old school charm"-- you can't help but feel a little "Rat Pack" sipping on a Whiskey Neat while sitting in your private booth. *Suck on that, Brunswick.*

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!!
